What is an escape room and how does an escape room work?

You and a group of friends, family, or coworkers, will enter a fully immersive, themed room with a story. The story may require that you “escape” or “find something to finish”. If you are able to solve all the puzzles within 60 minutes, you will “escape” the room. Learn more on our FAQ Page!

How many people do you need for an escape room?

Our recommendations for each game we offer are on our FAQ page. They can vary, but most games can accommodate up to 8 players.

How difficult are the escape rooms?

Accepted Answer

We do not rate our rooms because of many varying factors, but we also just want everyone to have fun. We give unlimited clues and suggest going with whatever theme interests you the most.

What if we have more than 8 players?

Accepted Answer

If you have more than 8 players, we recommend The Curse, or Shadows in the Night because they can be more forgiving for larger groups.

Is there an age limit for escape rooms?

Accepted Answer

There is no age limit, but we do require a paying adult for children under 12. We do not charge for children 5 & under, but they must be monitored by the adults, and we highly suggest infants and toddlers be kept in a carrier or stroller.

WHAT HAPPENS IN AN ESCAPE ROOM?

You and a group of friends, family, or coworkers, will enter a fully immersive, themed room with a story. The story may require that you “escape” or “find something to finish”. You will work together to find clues and solve puzzles where the answers may open a lock, cause something to happen, or reveal new information. If you are able to solve all the puzzles within 60 minutes, you will “escape” the room. Come see why we have some of the best escape rooms in Florida!

HOW LONG WILL THE ESCAPE ROOM TAKE?

For Escape Rooms: your group will have 60 minutes to escape. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to sign waivers, use restrooms and game briefing.

DO I NEED A RESERVATION?

Accepted Answer

Yes. While we may occasionally have an opening for walk-ins, we may not always be able to accommodate you on the spot. We could advise you as to when our next availability is so it is best to make your reservation online in advance to assure your date and time is available. Our reservation is easy to use. CAN I BOOK A TIME NOT ON THE BOOKING SYSTEM?

Unlisted times are generally reserved for large groups, team-building and larger parties or events. Please email info@premierescapeadventures.com or call (941)422-7128 to inquire about availability during unlisted times.

WHAT IF I AM LATE?

Accepted Answer

This is a live-action adventure. You must arrive on time in order to participate. NO REFUNDS FOR LATE OR NO-SHOWS. **Please factor in traffic and parking to arrive on time. Arriving late may result in a reduced playing time to ensure subsequent games stay on schedule.

WILL WE PLAY WITH STRANGERS?

All of our games are private so you will not be playing with strangers.

IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?

Our escape rooms are fun for all ages but designed mainly for adults and older children/teens. There is no age limit, however, please be aware that many puzzles may be too difficult for younger children. We do require that any players under 12 be accompanied by at least one paying adult (18 years of age or older).

IS THE ESCAPE ROOM HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE?

Yes, our rooms are handicapped assessable; however there may be some elements of the rooms that are not. At least 1 person in the group should be able to navigate for those unable to.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

We are conveniently located In the Creekwood Crossing Shopping Center directly between Bealls and Dollar Tree. Just to the west ½ mile of off I-75 at Exit 217 in East Bradenton.

DO YOU HAVE PARKING?

We have LOTS of free and easy parking.

WHAT IF WE GO OUT FOR DRINKS FIRST?

Accepted Answer

DO NOT BE DRUNK or under the influence of drugs. We reserve the right to cancel your game on the spot if you are, and there are NO REFUNDS in this situation. Our games are absolutely not meant to be played drunk, and can actually ruin the experience. It isn’t safe as there there’s a risk of damaging yourself or our props.

IS IT SCARY?

We do not have any monsters or live actors in our games.  The Curse and Murder on the Manatee have a creepy vibe and a minimal degree of scary noises.

AM I TRAPPED IN THE ROOM / WHAT IF IM CLAUSTROPHOBIC?

Your safety is our #1 priority. During our games we will always have a door unlocked for an easy and safe way to get out of the room in case of any emergency. If you are OK with the size of a hotel room, you should be ok in our adventure rooms.

WHAT IF WE GET STUCK ON A PUZZLE?

We will never leave you stuck! Your Gamer Master will monitor your progress in order to provide assistance with your game experience; when you are stumped, feel free to ask for clues!

IS THERE A MINIMUM NUMBERS OF PLAYERS REQUIRED TO PLAY?

Date Night Disaster, Chaos in the City & Elves on Strike can be played with 2-8 players. We recommend 4-6.  Murder on the Manatee is 3-8. We recommend 4-6.  The Curse and Shadows in the Night is 4-8 players due to the physical nature of many of the puzzles in the game. We recommend 5-7.

DO YOU HAVE RESTROOMS?

Yes. It is BEST to use the restrooms before the game begins. We will NOT stop the game once it starts if you need to leave the room for any reason.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Casual, Comfortable clothing is highly recommended.

CAN I BRING MY PHONE OR CAMERA?

Accepted Answer

Yes you may bring it in with you if you need to, but in order to protect the integrity of the game, we do not allow photos or videos to be taken inside the rooms. We reserve the right to terminate the game immediately if someone in your group is seen using their camera inside the game and NO REFUNDS will be given. We do allow photos to be taken afterwards in our photo area.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE?

We have a strict no-cancellation policy. We will gladly attempt to reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice. Your ticket is transferable, so you can always give your spot to someone else.

WHAT IF WE CAN'T ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

The escape adventure experience is not always about the “escape” as it is about challenging yourself and working with your friends and strangers alike to conquer the obstacles in front of you. Make sure to utilize your clues when you feel stumped! Although conquering the game is quite satisfying, don’t be discouraged if you cannot escape in time. Not every team will, but don’t worry, we’ll still let you leave.

DO I HAVE TO SIGN A WAIVER?

Yes. We have a Waiver that everyone will need to read and sign before participating. Children under the age of 18 must have it signed by a parent or guardian.

WHY AREN'T THERE ANY RATINGS LISTED FOR THE GAMES?

Accepted Answer

We don’t assign difficulty ratings to our games because everyone’s experience is different, and there are simply too many factors that can affect how challenging a game feels for a particular group. Rather than giving you a rating that may not accurately reflect your experience, we prefer to let you choose based on what sounds most interesting to you.   All of our games are designed to offer challenges, but don’t worry, you’ll never be left stuck! We provide unlimited hints, and you can get as much help as you need or want throughout the game. Our goal is for everyone to have a great experience, so pick the game that sounds like the most fun to you. We’ll be there to help you along the way!   If you are looking for a beginner-level game, the one we would say is the easiest but still has some challenging elements would be Elves on Strike.
